Tucker is a 6-foot male Masai giraffe born at Disney's Animal Kingdom in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, and debuted on the Kilimanjaro Safaris savanna on Monday, April 7, 2025. He is the first giraffe calf born at the park since 2021. His mother is Mara, and he was joined by his grandmother Kenya, big sister Maple, and friends Willow and Aella during his debut. Tucker’s birth aligns with the 30th anniversary of the Disney Conservation Fund and Earth Month. He is described as brave yet calm, traits similar to his father, Twiga, and is the 16th giraffe calf overseen by Jenn Hernandez, a savanna manager at the park. His birth is significant for conservation, as Masai giraffes are endangered, with only about 30,000 left in the wild.
